About the event
The 12 rough nights have always been a special time within the earthly calendar year; they result from the last six days (or nights) of the old year and the first six days of the new year. They therefore take place (according to most traditions) from December 25th to January 6th. This year, the 12 rough nights will be supplemented by another day for the first time, because as a collective we are entering the (female-dominated) number of 13.
The Rauhnächte mark a time with great magical power, which is, so to speak, outside of our “normal time”. With their energy they set a direction and an impulse for the 12 coming calendar months, each day of the 12 Rauhnächte marks direction and energy for the corresponding calendar month of the 12 following months.
